This stage explores different areas of future living where technology could improve everyday life, helping to generate a range of potential project directions. Through this process, key themes began to emerge, guiding the development of an initial concept and identifying opportunities for innovation.
write about the brief and how i want to make sure it is in some way realistic but also beneficial
To begin the ideation process, I created an initial mind map to explore a range of potential areas within future living that could be developed further. As the brief is broad, this allowed me to research different directions and identify themes that may become more relevant in the future. I aimed to focus on ideas that felt realistic and future-proof, helping to ground the concept in something that could plausibly develop over time. This approach helped narrow down possible directions and begin shaping a more refined idea.

I want to develop a concept that is future-proof and grounded in real needs, ensuring it would provide meaningful value and practical benefit to its intended users.

I explored several potential areas for future living concepts, including smart home environments and healthcare systems. While brainstorming, I tried to place myself within these scenarios to consider whether they would be necessary in the future and whether I could design a product or service that would genuinely benefit the people using it. Out of the ideas explored, the medical field stood out the most, as it felt both personally relatable and widely represented in visions of future living across films and games. This made it a strong direction to develop further within the project.

I decided it would be best to focus on the medical industry more considering it would be a more investing and future proof idea. I had an initial idea where I wanted to have a medical service that could be used locally or handiness instead of relying on physical or in person interactions. To develop this further i mind mapped together some ideas of how this could be develped further, including ways that could be used both as a digital and physcial service to benefit those with real term health issues.
