This week’s session took a more discussion-based approach with Daniel, focusing on freelancing and whether it is a path we would be interested in pursuing. We explored what tenders and quotes are, when they are needed, and how they are used in professional freelance contexts, which helped relate closely to my own experiences of designing for myself and for others. We also discussed the process of creating a quote or proposal, breaking down the key stages involved when working as a freelancer. Overall, the class gave me a clearer understanding of the practical and business considerations behind freelance work and how structured processes are essential when working independently.
