This week, we had a critique with our lecturer Kyle and the rest of the class about our music app project's screen designs. We presented 3-5 completed screens showing different menus within our music app and uploaded them to Miro for group feedback on potential adjustments and changes. We also demonstrated various interactive features, showing how screens transition between each other and how icons and buttons function, giving everyone insight into our music app concept.
My current Figma file showcases six screens for my music app, BopBot. These include a log-in screen, home screen, library screen, now playing view, AI assistance feature, and settings menu. Together, these screens demonstrate the overall functionality and navigation of my app design as well as my chosen theme and style that I wanted to base my app around.

Since my music app’s main feature is based on AI assistance, I wanted to showcase how this feature would function, along with various interactive menu icons and features. The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive, and I'm pleased with my progress so far. I also gathered helpful suggestions for refinements that will improve both the aesthetics and functionality of my final design.
The majority of my feedback from both my lecturer and classmates was very good and quite helpful towards the next steps I would take in designing my music player app. Throughout my process I was overly confident in the steps I was taking however there were some aspects I was struggling with and needed some guidance on how to improve, these areas included:

I had a great time during today’s critique as I was fairly confident going into it as I had put a lot of time into designing my frames and creating a prototype out of them which came out really clean and modern which was what I was going for. I also felt my feedback given to me today for my designs, was very fair and nothing too harsh meaning I wasn’t having to stress or think about any major changes I may have had to make. I will take the points clearly from today’s lecture and apply them at a later stage during my development of my music player app.
