This week we had a critique with our lecturer and the class, based on what we had created towards our bank project up until now. For this critique, we were tasked with designing a brand-style tile which would give and overall insight into each of our bank brands and how we have presented it visually where we then had the chance to upload to Miro and share with everyone else allowing it to receive constructive feedback towards what I have currently done and seeing what I can improve.
Shown below is the style tile that I created for my bank brand, Square. I decided to include a variety of different features of my brand as well as some mock ups which allows users to get an overall feel to what my bank brand is as well as see what it has to offer and the styling of it as well.

I also wanted to provide examples of how I wanted my potential bank card to look like so I attached some designs that featured my bank brand, all of which include a unique and specified colour as well as a contrasting background to each to help emphasis the entire brand design. I was able to get a lot of different feedback from both my lecturer and classmates which helped me see what areas I could improve on and what I could change to make the design work more.
The majority of my feedback from everyone was really positive and quite constructive which I found to be quite helpful as there were some aspects of my brand identity that I was struggling with and in fact needed some feedback in regards to what direction I had to take it in. Some of these areas included:

Overall, this week's critique was very helpful for developing my bank brand identity and project. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and suggested only minor changes to my designs which meant I didn't need to restart or revamp anything major. Viewing my classmates' work was also valuable, as it gave me new ideas and showed me different approaches to the project that I could relate to. I'm excited to progress further with my bank brand and see where we go next.
