This week, we explored landing pages and their role in our design process. We examined how they can be particularly valuable at our current stage of the banking app project. A landing page serves as a digital platform where we can introduce and promote a brand, showcasing relevant content that highlights its purpose and unique selling points.
Landing pages are used as standalone web pages that are designed to achieve one goal which is get visitors to take action upon a certain brand. Most of these move away from including various links and distractions and instead keeps things focused such as:
It is also important to understand what you want your landing page to achieve. It is vital that you look into what content you want to cover within a landing page

Today we had a guest speaker from Niice, an agency specializing in brand guidelines for companies. They've worked with major clients like Paramount, PlayStation, and Fox Entertainment. Chris offered a fresh perspective—I hadn't known that agencies dedicated solely to creating brand guidelines for large organizations existed. The talk gave me a new appreciation for brand guidelines' importance, and Chris shared creative approaches beyond traditional PDFs that I'm inspired to try in my own project.

This was an incredibly engaging and enlightening class session that expanded my understanding of web design and its practical applications. I particularly gravitate towards the web-related content we're covering, as desktop design aligns perfectly with my interests and creative preferences. The prospect of creating my brand's landing page has me genuinely excited, as it represents an opportunity to apply these newfound concepts in a meaningful way. The absolute highlight of the day was Chris's insightful presentation, which completely transformed my perspective on the design industry. I was genuinely fascinated to discover that a company could build a successful business model focused exclusively on developing comprehensive brand guidelines and sophisticated design systems. This revelation was particularly impactful because it demonstrated how specialized and nuanced our industry can be. It really broadened my horizons regarding the diverse opportunities available in the design field and prompted me to seriously reflect on where my skills and interests might best fit within this vast professional landscape.
