This week’s class with Glenda focused on employability and preparing for design roles. We looked at how to tailor a CV to specific job roles and write effective cover letters that align with a chosen company. A strong emphasis was placed on the importance of research, including analysing job descriptions and person specifications to understand what employers are looking for. We also discussed identifying relevant skills and knowledge to highlight. In addition, we explored how to gather and curate content for a design portfolio that clearly reflects experience, strengths, and suitability for roles.
